Overview
The Rising of the Shield Hero is an anime series based on a Japanese light novel. The story follows Naofumi Iwatani, an otaku who is unexpectedly summoned to a parallel world as one of four legendary heroes tasked with defending the realm from catastrophic Waves of Calamity. Armed with only a shield, Naofumi is initially excited to embrace his new role. However, he soon finds himself betrayed and falsely accused of a crime, leaving him ostracized and robbed of his resources. Determined to survive and seek revenge, Naofumi embarks on a journey to grow stronger, recruiting companions like the demi-human Raphtalia and the Filolial queen Filo.
