Overview
A young couple inherits a crumbling country estate and decides to turn it into a bed-and-breakfast, only to discover it is inhabited by a colorful ensemble of spirits from across the centuries. After a near-death experience, Sam can see and hear the ghosts, while her partner Jay must navigate their unseen interference by proxy. The ghosts, each shaped by the era and circumstances of their death, bring clashing personalities, heartfelt regrets, and oddball rules of the afterlife into the couple's everyday life. What begins as a haunting becomes a chaotic partnership as the living and the dead learn to coexist, grow, and sometimes scheme together. The series balances workplace antics and domestic comedy with character-driven backstories, gradually revealing how the ghosts lived, died, and continue to evolve as a found family.
