Stranger Things is a science fiction horror mystery-thriller set in the 1980s in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. The story begins with the mysterious disappearance of a young boy named Will Byers. As his friends and family search for him, they encounter a mysterious girl with psychokinetic abilities. With a shaved head and a fear of adults, the girl, known only as Eleven, becomes their ally. She provides clues to Will's disappearance, revealing the existence of a parallel dimension called the 'Upside Down.' Meanwhile, Will's mother, Joyce, is certain she can communicate with him through a series of supernatural occurrences at home. The local police chief, Jim Hopper, grows increasingly obsessed with investigating the strange happenings, realizing the Hawkins National Laboratory is involved.
